Philpac Corporation is currently seeking candidates to join our Customer Service team in Kenmore, NY!

The Customer Support Specialist will report to the Customer Service Manager. This position serves as the primary point-of-contact for Philpac’s customers. In this role, you will answer customer queries and resolve issues via appropriate channels, maintain knowledge of our products and services, obtain customer feedback, and create and maintain relationships with our customers. A number of methods are used for communicating with customers, including phone calls, emails, and sometimes in-person meetings.

Bringing your expertise to ours
The primary responsibilities of this position include:
• Following all company policies and procedures
• Searching for inventory and entering customer orders using our computer software
• Provide billing support for orders shipped to assigned accounts
• Ensure that all assigned customers’ information is kept current (contact information, pricing, etc.)
• Ensure sufficient inventory for assigned customers by working with other support functions (estimating, scheduling,
accounting, purchasing, etc.)
• Keeping track of customer sales files and filing them as necessary
• Making courtesy calls in order to collect debts
• Maintain positive relationships with all internal and external customers by representing the company in a helpful manner

A qualified applicant will contribute the following:
Education
• An undergraduate or graduate degree in business or a closely related field is preferred Experience
• Experience in business-to-business customer service is required
• At least two years of experience as a Customer Support Specialist or in a similar role within Customer Service
Specialized Knowledge
• Microsoft Office Suite
• A practical knowledge of customer service software, preferably Amtech

Skills/Abilities
• In the face of pressure, the ability to respond appropriately.
• Clear and effective communication skills over the phone, via email, and occasionally in person.
• The ability to remain organized
• Ability to solve problems with sound judgement and excellent problem solving skills

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Starting at $18.00 per hour
